Midwest Dental Brokers is founded on a deep commitment to the dental profession and the dentists who dedicate their lives to it. Our founder, Dr. Justina Mockunas, brings a wealth of experience and passion to this mission.

A graduate of Kaunas University of Medicine in Lithuania, Dr. Justina earned her DDS degree in 2008. She further honed her skills through the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at NYU Langone Health. Her journey led her to the Chicagoland area, where she now holds an Illinois dental license and runs a successful general dental practice.

Beyond her dedication to patient care, Dr. Justina is passionate about helping fellow dentists navigate the complexities of practice transitions. She understands the significant impact that selling a practice can have on a dentist's life and is committed to ensuring the process is handled with the utmost care and professionalism.

Giedrius Mockūnas

Giedrius Mockunas is the co-founder of Midwest Dental Practices. He has over a decade of experience consulting in the dental industry.

His path into healthcare began in 2020—at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic—when his wife, Dr. Justina Mockunas, purchased their first general dental practice. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Giedrius used his marketing and business management skills to significantly grow the practice. Within eight months, he increased production by 90%. By the end of 2021, he had successfully transitioned the practice away from relying on insurance contracts, which initially made up 95% of their patient base. This strategic move allowed the practice to become a thriving, independent operation.

Giedrius quickly developed a passion for the business side of dentistry. He became an expert in financial analysis, practice valuations, legal considerations, and strategic planning. These skills have made him a trusted advisor for dentists looking to buy or sell their practices.
With his extensive consulting experience at global firms like Deloitte and Robert Bosch, Giedrius now focuses on helping other dentists achieve their goals through successful practice transitions.

Giedrius holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and an MBA from Lewis University. This education enables him to effectively guide dentists through the complexities of business operations and practice sales.

Outside of work, Giedrius enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball, and traveling.
